Amazing, kind of like a mix between reading an great book & playing the NBA2K video game! A+ and 10/10

This book is absolutely amazing! I have no idea how the author incorporated all the correct player salaries and salary cap issues and real 2014 NBA Draft players in it, but it is just amazing.

I’ve never even heard of another Choose Your Own Ending adult sports book but after reading this I hope a ton more are written as it was the most fun I’ve ever had while reading a book. Honestly it was almost like a mix between a book and playing NBA2K14 … SO MUCH FUN!

The book is extremely hard to “beat” though. I can’t imagine there is anyone, other than maybe Jerry West or someone like that, that could actually win the NBA title on the first read through of this book. I got fired in the second chapter! But, I just went back and started again and made it deeper into the second chapter … and got fired again!

I honestly got fired probably 7-8 times before I finally won the NBA Title, but man, what a ride!

If you like trading and building a roster on NBA2K and trying to win titles like I do, I think you’ll love this book. And really, I think just about any NBA fan would love this book. It’s funny too, I mean really funny, not Bill Simmons "The Book of Basketball" funny, but there are some one-liners and things in that had me rolling around. It’s fun to read, addicting and you can’t really put it down until you “beat it”, just like a video game.

So, for me, this book is an A+, a 10/10, 5 stars and all that good stuff!!!!

P.S. This author also wrote a similar book covering the Celtics, and that was awesome too, but, this one was the better of the two as it's longer and HARDER to "beat"!

Practical Experience with Organic Growing Shared

Don came across my website, [ ... ] , liked what he saw about growing more nutritionally-rich foods, and asked me to review his book. I enjoyed reading Learned by the Fencepost because it has practical tips from someone who helped get the organic movement going way back in the 1950's. Don paid attention to what happened in the field and garden, and learned from experience. He ran his own experimental trials to prove what worked.
I appreciate his promotion of the use of soft rock phosphate from Florida. I recommend that soil amendment to clients regularly, but I run a comprehensive soil analysis so I know exactly how much of each element is needed for optimal balance. Don recommends taking soil samples to the local extension office, however my side-by-side comparisons of soil analyses and recommendations from the extension "service" and from a good independent lab were vastly different. Don criticizes "the USDA and the government" for pushing the use of chemical fertilizers--and I totally agree with him. However, the extension "service" is an extension of the (corrupt)government and the information I have gotten from them is often misleading. I believe that the agriculture chemical corporations, who control government to a large extent, do not want growers to be able to grow supremely healthy crops which don't need their chemicals.
Don talks about his experience in Virginia starting his organic garden. It took him 5 years to get his soil in good enough condition to produce well. With the proper soil analyses and amendments he could have saved himself a lot of time, trouble and heartache with getting his soil to perform well. And his produce could have been more nutrient rich also.
As Don says, "Observation, logic, an inquisitive mind, and Mother Nature are valuable teachers in farming and gardening, as well as in many other aspects of our lives." Let's all keep learning and moving forward together!

Outstanding book and such a joy to read!!

What a very, very special book!! I was really excited to learn about the process that Donald used to find the very best type of farming to get the most outstanding crops. What determination he had to stick to it for several years until he found the exact formula that would produce the best vegetables and with almost no insects. That is a winning combination. I am praying that more and more large farms will adopt these methods so that more of us can purchase this wonderful produce. I have been doing a great deal of research in what foods are best for us and without a doubt, we will only benefit our bodies if we eat organic. I also am a huge believer in supplements because the produce from this new way of farming is so inferior than it was 50 years ago when Donald was doing all his own research. What a perfect stocking stuffer this would be for Christmas!

Interesting and Educational

Don puts his years of gardening wisdom in this book. His real life stories draw you in - they are so interesting and he even mentions awards he has won. In addition to teaching you about what does and does not work, how to garden organically - truly organic - he gives many tips and suggestions - there are so many insights to glean from this book. I cannot wait to start my own organic garden.... inspirational and aspirational.

There should always be Hope...

Cutter was first introduced in the Sacred Hearts MC series. When we last heard of him, he was left behind in the dust of Reaver's and Hayden's reunion. While you know him and Hayden were a dead end road even before the "resurrection" of Reaver, you can't help but feel sorry for what he has to give up.

Reading Cutter's Hope, we get more insight to the wonderful man Cutter truly is. Yes, he is the head of an MC. Yes, he has his violent moments. And yes, he, too, does have feelings and they revolve around Hope. Sassy, strong-minded, determined Hope was just the woman to "handle" Cutter. And when she has weak moments, Cutter was there to be her pillar of strength. The dynamics in their relationship just work well.

The sub characters... well, I just have to say I can't wait to read Nothing.. but alas, his is the third book. But that's not to say, I am not looking forward to Marlin's book.

As always AJ Downey, I enjoyed your book and look foward to the next one anxiously! You rock!!

I was hooked from the first page to the last

I've only read two other books by this author 'Damaged and Dangerous' and 'Masked and Miserable' but from the little bit of Cutter we got in 'Damaged' I knew I wanted more especially when I read the blurb for his book.
Cutter is the president of The Kraken MC a small MC based in the town of Ft. Royal Florida.
Hope is ex military highly trained and lethal and she's looking for her sister Faith who went missing two years ago in New Orleans while on vacation with her friend Tonya. Hope has spent two years searching for her sister, following every lead, a Private Investigator she hired finally found some information on Tonya which leads straight to a Cutter's door.
Cutter is just fabulous, a hot intelligent biker and Hope is amazing so this was always going to be good but despite their initial attraction to each other both Cutter and Hope are careful and wary, he needs to protect his club and she just wants her sister so a game of cat and mouse ensues but chemistry like theirs can't be ignored for long.
This is a great book I was hooked from the first page to the last, I loved all the characters, the story plus the additional characters in fact The Voodoo Bastards came close to steeling the show at times and while I know the next two books belong to Marlin and Nothing I wish they were Ruth and La Croix, hopefully they'll get theirs in the future.
I know I mentioned above that Hope was amazing and I can't stress enough just how refreshing it is to come across a woman who can more than look after herself, she's intelligent, determined and loyal and it makes such a nice change from the ever increasing ranks of TSTL females who make stupid decision after stupid decision.
I will just add that I don't give 5* easily.

the Sacred Hearts MC. I would highly recommend this book to everyone and can't wait for the next one.

A unique book with an identity of it's own from RL Stine.

If you want ten new stories by RL Stine then 'More and More Tales to Give You Goosebumps' is the book for you. The only bad points overall about the book is that for being so expensive you'll read it in a day (my own fault for naturally reading too fast) and that with my version of the book the pages smelt a bit wierd (but hey, I kinda like that smell!). Since it's a compilation of stories (which is what toasts it in so much great variety) then I'll go through each story one by one . . .
The Haunted Guitar - a nice crisp start to the book. I like it. The author does take a bit time getting to the scary part but overall description is also what makes these Goosebumps stories so . . . good, put simply! 9/10
Tune in Tomorrow - seems kinda dull and isn't scary as such, just has a strange twist in it. One of the slightly worser ones. 6/10
Live Bait - like in the first story, the author takes a bit to get on with the story with the odd pointless thing, like when Timmy falls through the pier. Decent nonetheless though. 7/10
Something Strange About Marci - seems pointless throughout but with just the final sentence of the story everything seems to make sense. Great if you want something funny and smart. The only part that will give you goosebumps as such though is how the queer smell of the pages still hasn't worn off while you've already reached page 50. 9/10
The Ghost Sitter - kinda pointless and doesn't make as much sense as the others. Dull. 6/10
Fun With Spelling - When I first heard the title of this story I thought it was on about some kind of scary English lesson! It's actually about spells and the poor girl becoming the victim of it all. One of the trademark stories of the book. 9/10
Matt's LunchBox - so funny it's ridiculous! Matt buys a Lunch Box and the cartoon monsters on the label come to life. HILAIRIOUS! 9.5/10
Stuck in 1957 - on about a girl who gets trapped in the period of Elvis Presley and the like. Good. 8/10
Mirror, Mirror on the Wall - this one would probably appeal to boys because it's about a girl who always looks pretty by putting on perfume and lip gloss. Trouble ensues when her best friend Mirror comes to life and alters her into a fat slouch. Totally un-Goosebumps style but I like it! 9/10
What's Cooking? - another truely hilairious one. An old school cook called Chop Suey rises from the dead and chases after Robert and Diana armed with a cleaver in an attempt to chop them up into her new meat surprize. Neat. 9/10

About the Author
Tayyip Oral graduated from Qafqaz University in Azerbaijan in 1998 with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, and he received an MBA from the same university in 2010. Tayyip is an educator who has written several books related to math and intelligence questions. He has previously taught math and IQ classes at Baku Araz preparatory school for 13 years. 
Serife Turan graduated from Mehmet Akif Ersoy University in 2008 with a B.A. in education, and she worked for three years as a math teacher. She is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Houston Victory.
Dr. Steve Warner earned his Ph.D. at Rutgers University in Mathematics, and he currently works as an Associate Professor at Hofstra University. Dr. Warner has over 15 years of experience in general math tutoring and over 10 years of experience in SAT math tutoring. He has tutored students both individually and in group settings and has published several math prep books for the SAT, ACT and AP Calculus exams.

Best purchased I ever made. I got a little price! We are very very pleased with this book. Thank you for the solutions , not just answer, solutions and explanations and drawings. This is a real help for high school students. The content is very dense, and it takes some study itself to gain facility in using it well. This book is clear , concise and extremely well written. Recommend to anyone who wants an easy tools.

An Engaging Intro to "Film and Literature"

In the preface to his book FILM AND LITERATURE, Timothy Corrigan notes the "enormous scope" of the topic. Wisely, he subtitles the book "An Introduction and Reader."

Part I, "Film and Literature in the Crosscurrents of History," comprises eight brief and lively chapters, beginning with the silent era of theatrical depictions to the adaptations of novels. Among the problematic adaptations dicussed are The Grapes of Wrath, The Shining, and Lolita.

Part II, "Critical Borders and Boundaries: Analytical Categories for Film and Literature" introduces basic concepts in Film and Literary Studies.

Part III, "Major Documents and Debates," more than two-thirds of the book, is an anthology of essays on cinema excerpted from the writings of influential scholars such as Walter Benjamin, Sergei Eisenstein, Andre Bazin, George Bluestone, and Kristin Thompson.

The book makes very engaging reading.
